Fellow Marines,

A couple of days ago I sent out an email message about a Marine family that lost their 13 year old daughter and everything they own. The father is a Master Sergeant and is the the Ops.Chief for C-Company, 1st Radio Battalion. He is one of our own.

The original message said you could send donations to the Armed ServicesYMCA at Camp Pendleton where an account has been set up. If you have already sent something in that is great.

The Board of Directors has decided we should send a donation directly to the family. If you have not already sent out a donation and are so inclined to do so, please send your checks to me and I will deposit them in the MCCA account. We hope to give the family a significant amount towards helping them get back on their feet. Make the check out to the MCCA and put Fire Victims in the memo line on your checks. Any amount will help. What ever you can afford.

Additionally, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
