I'm sure many of you got this notice, but just in case, for those who may not have....Here it is from Judy Szombathelyi..........

Norb died in a one vehicle motorcycle accident on April 10th. He was returning from Milwaukee where he was visiting with his brother who has terminal cancer. The accident happened on I-65 outside of Pulaski Tn at about 5:30 AM. Dr's have determined that it was cardiac arrest.

Norbert was a real friend. I am blessed to have visited with him and his brother two years ago here in Bemidji, Mn when they rode their bikes here while on a cross-country trip. Then again last year Norbert was part a a ride for the Wounded Warrior program which went up the east coast from Pensacola to Maine, then made a left turn thru the great lakes and again stopped in Bemidji, Mn where I arranged for a Police escort thru town and had the local TV and press people on hand to greet them. I bid my friend Norbert a Bon Voyage as they headed southwest out of town with a fresh jug of JarHead Red in the saddle bags. I'll surely miss my old friend, but I definitely will cherish the memories I shared with him at 1st Rad and on dets with 9th Mab and to P'yong Taek Korea....Fair winds and following seas.......BR Smith
